Wenigstens das ist besser als vorher. :

Hm die neuen regeln muß man sehen, außer das die Spielflächen nun kostenpflichtig neu geschaffen werden müssen, gefallen mir die neuen Regeln mit der Begrenzung der Eisflächen.

SHOOTOUT


Following a scoreless five-minute overtime, three players from each team participate in the order the coach selects.

Each team takes three shots. The team with the most goals after those six shots is the winner.

If the score remains tied, the shootout will proceed to a "sudden death" format.

Regardless the number of goals scored during the shootout portion of overtime, the final score recorded for the game will give the winning team one more goal than the score at the end of regulation time.

Shootout ist sicherlich interessant, aber wieso soll es keine Unentschieden mehr geben?
Hm 3 Spieler dürfen nur antreten? Wo bleibt denn da die Spannung?

Wollen die das Spiel europäischer machen???  

Ich fande das gut, daß man eben bei gleichwertigem Spiel ein Unentschieden und einen Punkt erreicht. Da ist mir das mit dem OTL und einem Punktgewinn trotz Niederlage schon suspekter.

Vielleicht will man aber auch nun endlich mal beides verknüpfen. Dann frage ich mich aber, warum hat man überhaupt so etwas blödes wie OTL erfunden und nicht gleich Shootout gemacht?

Noch sinnvoller wäre es jetzt sicherlich, wenn man gleich ein Shootout nach der Regular Playtime macht. Wie viele Unentschieden gab es denn in letzter zeit (man schaue sich nur mal Rekordteam Phoenix an) und wieviele OTLs?
Da überwiegten doch die Unentschieden und so hat man quasi 5 Minuten + die Zeit des Shootouts, das dann auch irgendwann so lange geht, bis einer getroffen hat. :

Also wie gesagt, sollte man gleich Nägel mit Köpfen machen und nach der Regular Playtime die Sudden Death Shootouts machen.

Jetzt haben wir wieder so ein Zwischending.

Da bleibt man doch beim Touch Icing....ich dachte das solle abgeschafft werden...  

ICING THE PUCK

   * Icing the puck offenses still will be penalized by a face-off in the defensive zone of the team that ices the puck.

   * A team that ices the puck cannot make a line change prior to the ensuing face-off.

   * "Touch" icing will remain the practice, although the Linesman will have discretion to wave off apparent icing infractions if they are deemed the result of an attempted pass. Providing the discretion to the Linesman also should have the effect of reducing the number of situations in which a race for the puck might result in an injury to a player.
