An O'Neill scheinen nicht nur die Bruins dran zu sein, denn neben den Maple Leafs auch noch die Red Wings usw.

Hab bisher noch nach keinem Bostenthread geschaut! Scheint nicht allzuviele Boston fans hier zu geben! Aber ich möchte mich Blueliner anschließen klasse Saison von Raycroft, Kompliment!

Thornton out with broken cheekbone
BOSTON (AP) - Bruins captain Joe Thornton could return to action Thursday night after his cheekbone was broken in a fight with Rangers forward Eric Lindros.

Thornton, Boston's leading scorer, did not travel to New York for Tuesday night's game with the Rangers and was listed as day-to-day. The Bruins are off Wednesday before returning home to face the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday.
After Thornton was hurt in Monday night's 5-2 Bruins win, Boston general manager Mike O'Connell said he didn't think Thornton would be sidelined for long.

Bruins' Doull gets one-game suspension

(TSN.ca) - Boston Bruins winger Doug Doull has received a one-game suspension for charging Petr Nedved of the New York Rangers in Monday afternoon's game.

``What do you expect from a player like that? He goes out there to hurt people,'' Nedved said about Doull.  Considering Doull averages about 2:30 of ice time per game, and more than 5:00 minutes of penalties per game, there appears to be some veracity to Nedved's claim.

Doull received a game misconduct for his actions.  Bruins defenceman Dan McGillis also received a game misconduct for kneeing Darius Kasparaitis, but received no suspension.

Bruins honour Cam Neely

BOSTON (AP) - Cam Neely might not have left hockey on his own terms, but he did enough during a decade in Boston to become just the 10th player to have his number retired by the Bruins.

ein weiterer ausfall in der Defensivabteilung, Ian Moran musste das letzte Spiel wegen einer knöchelverletzung abbrechen. man rechnet damit, dass er 1-2 wochen ausfällt

Sergei Zinoviev verlässt die Bruins und wechselt zu AK Bars Kazan (RUS)

Zum Abschluss noch eine unnötige Niederlage bei den Rags. Naja jetzt haben sie erst mal Pause um über ihre Verteidiger und Goaliesituation nachzudenken. Kann mir nicht vorstellen das sie sooo glücklcih sind mit Potvin und Raycroft.

Bruins' Samsonov out indefinitely

Forward Sergei Samsonov will be out of the Boston Bruins lineup indefinitely after suffering a knee injury in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Washington Capitals.

Samsonov sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee after going down to block a shot and falling awkwardly.

He will be re-evaluated on Sunday after the team returns to Boston.

Samsonov left the game late in the third period and iced the knee before walking out of the MCI Center on his own.

Bruins lose Axelsson with shoulder injury

The Boston Bruins have lost forward P.J. Axelsson for at least a week with a shoulder injury once again.

Axelsson initially suffered a shoulder sprain November 20 against Washington following a hit from Dainius Zubrus. He missed two games before returning to face the Predators, where he re-injured himself while trying to throw a hit.

"I was trying to hit someone and I caught it a little off," Axelsson tells the Boston Globe. "I felt something pop. I think it's a little sprained.It's like I took one step forward and two back."

While he won't undergo and x-ray or an MRI, Axelsson says the shoulder feels worse now than when he first injured it.



Axelsson is listed as day-to-day and is not expected to play against either Atlanta or Toronto this week.

ja ich denke bei Potvin kommt es viel dadrauf an wie wohl er sich in dem Team und in seiner umgebung fühlt. Hat man ja gesehn bei den LEafs war er gut bei den ISles war er bescheden bei den Nucks war er bescheiden kurz nach seinem wechsel zu den KIngs spielte er besser als je zuvor nd jetzt naja warten wirs ab.
